Cold Days

We've had a bit of snow here and there but nothing has stayed around long. It sure is cold though!

Some of my knitting projects lately....

Halloween

What a day it was! He wore his costume to Nature Babies in the morning and everybody helped me realize it's a monkey costume and not a bear costume! He had a great time there and the weather was beautiful. After his nap we went trick or treating, then to the Halloween Journey at the Waldorf School. After that we handed out candy and then bedtime. He seemed to enjoy all of it and didn't understand he was collecting candy. We handed his candy back out to the kids that came to our door and the rest went to The Family Place this morning.

I Love Halloween Too!

I was so excited this year to carve pumpkins with my little guy. He was totally into it which was such a delight for me. Usually I'm doing this on my own, Dave's not huge on any holidays. We carved 3 pumpkins with cookie cutters and a mallet. They turned out great. I'll post some of them on the front porch with Cohen in his bear costume on Halloween. I can't wait, we are going to the Halloween Journey at the Waldorf School again this year. It was spectacular last year.

I love these autumn days

I celebrated my 38th Birthday - hard to believe. I think the drying, preserving, making jam & fruit leathers and so on and so on is finally finished and we are very well stocked with yummy healthy jams, dried fruit, fruit leather, and fruit butters for the winter. We also collected and strung many many rosehips for pretty garlands around the house and some for tea to keep us healthy this winter. Today I put the garden to rest for the winter and we are staying warm. I'm obsessed with knitting these days and making little lovlies for my little guy. Unfortunately he refuses to wear most of them. It doesn't stop me though, I just can't get enough of it.
